Our Story.

Maskpac began when founder, Raylene Marasco had an “ah-ha” moment during the Covid crisis. Having a 30 year textile design business, Dyenamix in NYC, pivoting to make and donate masks was a no-brainer. During a day of errands, she hopped in the car, took off her fabric mask and realized there was no place to “safely” put it. After thinking about the obvious fabric pouches, the samples just didn’t feel sophisticated enough. Then there was the issue of quick cleaning and drying; that’s when the material changed to a polymer plastic! Easy to clean and disinfect as well as rigid enough to put into your pocket without crushing your mask.

The first prototypes were made from a clear plastic which didn’t look very “design-y”. Further materials exploration turned up colored polymer sheets, appealing to the need for aesthetic options. When it was discovered that the material was printable, that was the ultimate win! Now Raylene could design patterns and put them on the Maskpacs! This also allowed for the possibility of customizing the Maskpacs for businesses with logo repeats or branded prints!

The mission is to have everyone using a Maskpac to safely store their masks between wearings while allowing them to show a bit of their personality. We want the maskpacs to be the next cellphone cover. Maybe you carry a black one to match your matte black car, or a printed one to show your fun side, maybe its a simple white or frosted one that allows the mask to be the star, or the ultimate custom one for brand loyalty.

Whichever one you choose, you can feel satisfied that you have safely stored your mask while keeping yourself healthy and stylish.
